Have questions about how to load your PRESTO card, setup Autoload and check your card balance? Get the answers to some of our most asked questions here.

There are several ways to load your PRESTO card or check your balance:

  • Through the PRESTO App
  • Through the PRESTO website online
  • Set up Autoload or Autorenew on your PRESTO card
  • In person at a Customer Service Outlet
  • At a Self-Serve Reload Machine
  • Through our Chat feature
  • By phone at 1-877-378-6123 (Note: you must have set up Saved Payment Method to load your card over the phone)

If you are using PRESTO in Mobile wallet, you can load your card through the PRESTO App, yourGoogle Wallet, or Apple Wallet, or in person at a Customer Service Outlet

If you use PRESTO in Apple Wallet, you can’t add transit passes directly through Apple Wallet, but you can do so through the PRESTO App

Autoload automatically adds funds to your PRESTO card when your balance falls below the minimum you setThis ensures you always have enough funds to travel.

How to Set Up Autoload

  • Make sure your PRESTO card (physical card, PRESTO in Apple Wallet, or PRESTO in Google Wallet) is added to your PRESTO account.
  • Sign in to your PRESTO account on the PRESTO app or website.
  • On the PRESTO website, select Autoload in the left-hand navigation menu and choose your card.
  • Or, on the PRESTO App, select your card and tap Set up Autoload.
  • Choose your minimum balance and follow the prompts to complete setup.

Your Autoload was cancelled because we could not process the payment for your Autoload transactionIt is likely that your credit or debit card tied to your Autoload is no longer valid.

Don't worry! It's easy to set up Autoload again.

To set up Autoload again, follow these simple steps:

  • Sign in to your PRESTO account on the PRESTO app or website.
  • On the PRESTO website, select Autoload in the left-hand navigation menu and choose your card.
  • Or, on the PRESTO App, select your card and tap Set up Autoload.
  • Choose your minimum balance and follow the prompts to complete setup.

Autorenew automatically reloads your monthly transit pass to your PRESTO cardThis ensures your pass is available at the start of each pass period

How to Set Up Autorenew

  • Make sure your PRESTO card (physical card, PRESTO in Apple Wallet, or PRESTO in Google Wallet) is added to your PRESTO account.
  • Sign in to your PRESTO account on the PRESTO app or website.
  • On the PRESTO website, go to Add Transit Passes, choose your transit agency, select the transit pass, and enable Add Autorenew to this transit pass.
  • Or, on the PRESTO app, select your card, tap Set up Autorenew, choose your transit agency and transit pass, and follow the prompts to complete setup.

To set up Autorenew again on the PRESTO website, simply sign into your PRESTO account, go to "My Products", then select "Add Transit Pass or Autorenew"On the PRESTO App, sign into your PRESTO account and go to “Set up Autorenew”Choose your transit agency, select the transit pass, follow the prompts, tap and you're done!

For physical PRESTO cards, you can set up Autorenew through the PRESTO App or websiteFor PRESTO in Google Wallet, you can set up Autorenew through the PRESTO App

You can update your payment information directly in your Autoload or Autorenew settings on the PRESTO website or appIf you prefer using the website, select the card with the Autoload/Autorenew and select “Add Funds or Autoload” or “Add Transit Pass or Autorenew”For the PRESTO App, select “Manage Autoload” or “Manage Autorenew”Confirm the values on the first page and click “Next.” Then you’ll be able to change your payment method

Updating your saved payment method in your PRESTO account may cancel your Autoload/Autorenew agreementWe recommend that you update your payment method directly from the card menu (see above for steps)

You can also use pre-authorized debit by submitting a paper form and requesting an update to your existing account

The charge on your bank account or credit and debit card was pre-authorized by your financial institution when you went through the checkout on the PRESTO app or website

Your financial institution will automatically release this charge within 7-10 business days
