Transit Usage Report and Tax Credit

Your Transit Usage Report provides up-to-date information about your transit use with your PRESTO card for your records and tax purposes. You’ll need to log into your PRESTO account to generate your report.

You can use the Transit Usage Report to help calculate your Ontario Seniors Public Transit Tax Credit.  Eligibility for the Ontario Seniors Public Transit Tax Credit is determined by the Canada Revenue Agency. For full details, please visit the Government of Ontario website to find out if you are eligible for the tax credit and the types of public transit trips that can be claimed.

If you normally pay your fare using PRESTO contactless, by tapping your credit card, debit card or mobile wallet, you can log into your PRESTO account, select your method of payment and adjust the date-range filter to view your payment history. This can also be used to calculate your Ontario Seniors Public Transit Tax Credit.

How to get your Transit Usage Report for PRESTO cards:

Step 1 - Sign into your PRESTO account and select the PRESTO card from your dashboard that you want a Transit Usage Report for.

Step 2 - From the menu, select “Transit Usage Report”

Step 3 - Select the year from the drop-down menu. Select “All” for all transit use, “Trips” for trips taken, or “Passes” for passes purchased then select “Get Report”

Step 4 - You can download the entire report as a PDF or export it as a CSV file and customize it.

How to get your Transit Usage Report for PRESTO contactless credit and debit cards:

Step 1 - Sign into your PRESTO account and select the PRESTO contactless credit or debit card from your dashboard that you want a Transaction History Report for

Step 2 - From the menu, select “Transaction History”

Step 3 - Select “Filters” and from the drop down click “Select Date Range”. Select the “From” and “To” date range. Click the “Select” button, then click the “Apply” button. 

Step 4 - You can select “export” or “print” at the bottom of your Transaction History.
