Physical PRESTO cards |
Physical PRESTO cards can only have one fare type, either:
|
If you have a universal fare type set on your card, you will be charged this universal fare type across all transit agencies. If you have a transit agency specific fare type, you will be charged the transit agency specific pricing when using that agency, and for all other transit agencies you are charged the universal fare type. The default PRESTO fare type is Adult. For example, if you have the TTC Fair Pass Fare Type, you will be charged the Fair Pass price on TTC, and an Adult fare on other agencies. |

PRESTO in Mobile Wallet |
PRESTO in Mobile Wallet cards can have multiple fare types:
|
If you have a universal fare type, you'll pay that fare on any transit agency that uses PRESTO. If you have multiple fare types (e.g. Adult, TTC Fair Pass & GO Post-Secondary Student), you'll be charged the transit agency specific pricing when using that agency, and for all other transit agencies you'll be charged the universal fare type that you've set on PRESTO in Mobile Wallet. |
|
PRESTO Contactless (Credit/Debit) |
At this time, you cannot add a fare type to a contactless credit or debit card. When using PRESTO Contactless, you'll be charged an Adult fare. Visit PRESTO Contactless to learn more. |
